Answers to the most frequently asked questions

The following section contains brief answers to questions we receive time and again, especially in the areas of registration or for the delivery and collection of goods.

Is it necessary to create a reference number before delivering or collecting goods?

We need the TL number for export consignments (cargo deliveries). You can register the consignment on our portal for this purpose. The TL number is generated in the process (e.g. TL1234567). Your driver uses this TL number (PIN) to register with us.

We require the reference numbers (e.g. the container no. or our warehouse no.) and the matching A18 (collection note) for import shipments (cargo collection). The delivery note may also be necessary in isolated cases.
You can also send us an email announcing the collection and therefore register in advance. To do so, simply send us your reference number and the A18, also stating the license plate of the collection vehicle.

How and where is this reference created?

For deliveries:

The TL number can be generated on our portal at wsg.sendung-tracking.com. Each customer has personal login credentials. All details regarding the consignment are registered here and then sent to us. The consignment is then approved and issued a TL number. You receive this number automatically after approval.

For collections:
You will already be in possession of the container number.
You will receive an unloading report with our warehouse number as soon as container unloading is complete. This number and/or the container number entitle you to collect your goods.

Which other options are available to create a registration?

Delivering export goods:
We require the TL number for pre-registrations. There are no exceptions.

Collecting import goods:
You can register collections at our lifting point by providing the reference number and the matching A18. Kindly state the license plate of the collection vehicle as well.

Alternatively, you can register collection by presenting the A18 and/or commitment note on site.

Which documents and information are required in which cases?

For deliveries:
TL number

For customs goods:
Original T1

For collections:
A18 (collection slip); only required if pre-registration was not carried out

Who is the right person to contact in which cases for deliveries or collections?

Our lifting point is always responsible for delivery and collection.

Your primary contacts:

Michael Boje
ed.gnikcapspp@obm

Nicole Sydow

In the event of difficulties, problems or special features, the responsible import and export clerks should be consulted.

What must drivers carry for ALL explicit cases as soon as they report for delivery or collection?

For deliveries:

  • Harmless goods: TL number
  • Customs goods: TL number and original T1
  • Hazardous goods: Additionally the DGD and the driver’s ADR certificate

For collections:

  • Harmless goods: A18 (collection note)
  • Hazardous goods: A18 and the driver’s ADR certificate

During which periods can consignments be delivered or collected?

Collections and deliveries are permitted at any time between 7:00 am and 2:00 pm on Mondays to Fridays.

Some consignments are subject to warehouse charges (depending on the period of storage). These consignments can also be delivered or collected at any time during the opening times.

What are the opening times for deliveries and collections?

Monday – Friday from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm

Which procedures should drivers expect once clearance at the lifting point is complete?

  1. Drivers are assigned a queue number once registration is complete. White numbers are for deliveries and yellow ones for collections.
  2. The forklift driver brings the trucks in one after the other for unloading or loading in the order of registration.
  3. Once this is complete, the drivers receive a delivery/collection receipt signed by the forklift driver, unless other papers were provided by the customer.
  4. Loading and unloading generally take place from the side. In rare cases, these tasks are also handled from the rear (pallets with low weights or small trucks). There are no ramps.
  5. Drivers are given the correct papers and allowed to leave the yard once loading or unloading is complete.

Special cases:
Customs goods delivered with a T1 are transferred to the customs authorities. This may lead to extended waiting times under certain circumstances.

Which are the most common errors?

Collections:

  • Missing change in custodian: We are not authorised to release the consignment if we are still the custodians on the date of collection.
  • Missing collection slips: Unfortunately, we cannot accept references on mobile phones or handwritten notes as collection slips.

Deliveries:

  • Driver is not carrying the TL number

These errors can unfortunately lead to extended waiting times.

During which times and on which days should increased traffic be expected?

There are not days or hours in which increased traffic is typical.
